Meet The Pastor
Pastor Lou Varist Gholson is a prayer warrior, soul winner, and dedicated to ministry.
She was recently the Pastor of Calvary New Life Tabernacle Church in Southeast Atlanta, Georgia for 3 years and 15 years prior with late husband Pastor Fery Varist Jr. She was born in New Orleans, La, and later the family moved to Port Arthur, Texas, where home roots were grown. She is a college graduate of Chenier Business College, Beaumont, Texas.
She is recently married to Elder Edward Gholson, who serves in leadership at New Jerusalem Worship Center. Elder Gholson has been instrumental in the Christian Laity of many Churches through his military career. Pastor Gholson has two sons and eight grandchildren who keep her life very busy and fulfilling.
Elder Edward Gholson is the church council and support the Christian governing body of NJPCI.
He served his country for 24 years, and is born again Christian since 1982. He has been married to Pastor Lou Gholson for 12 years and serves with her in the ministry. He is an amazing man of God and loves the people with a true heart. He is a wonderful husband, father and grandfather; he is always there for the family. He serves the body of Christ with integrity, love and friendship, very dependable and kind to all.
